An immersive photography experience combining education, styled shoots, and cinematic night sessions — all in one overnight event.
Afternoon – Education Session
A focused class led by an experienced educator covering portrait lighting, working with talent, and techniques photographers can apply immediately during the shoot sessions.
Participants will also have room to discuss areas they want to improve so the session can address real creative challenges photographers face.
Evening — High Fashion Rotations
Styled high-fashion looks will be introduced in rotational shooting groups.
These sessions are designed to provide:
• wardrobe-driven storytelling
• collaborative shooting environments
• vetted models
Night — Moonlit Creative Session
The final portion of the evening leans into the darker cinematic aesthetic.
This creative session will include:
• SFX looks
• Avant-garde concepts
• Boudoir looks
This is where photographers can push creative boundaries and produce some of the most striking imagery of the event.
• One night of lodging
• Access to an educator and shooting sessions
• Vetted models
• Hair & makeup artists on set
• Structured rotational shooting environments
• Light meals, snacks, and beverages
• A collaborative creative environment built around professionalism and respect
Because this version of the event is intentionally streamlined, some of the larger production elements from the original Invitational have been removed.
This allows the experience to stay focused, intimate, and accessible while still delivering the core value of the Invitational concept.
Moonlit Couture events are designed to bring photographers, models, and artists together in an environment built on collaboration, professionalism, and creative growth.
Participants are expected to work respectfully with talent and deliver a small selection of edited images to models after the event.
No. It’s a curated retreat with limited spots, structured shooting blocks, and education built into the event.
You'll need a camera with manual settings, a tripod, and your off camera lighting with flash triggers. A wide-angle lens and a portrait lens are recommended. We will be shooting in various environments. You should bring equipment that is easy to move around and versatile for shooting in potentially tight spaces. If you purchased an overnight ticket plan accordingly for an overnight stay.
Friday afternoon education, structured rotation shoot in the evening plus a Moonlit Sessions for late night shooting. Check out the next day by 11:00am.
Not at all. This retreat is built for photographers who want to grow as artists and get back into a high-standard environment. Skill level matters less than mindset: show up ready to learn, create, collaborate, and follow the structure, and you’ll be in the right room.
We’ll work across multiple close, fast-moving studio and home environments, some with multiple floors, and we’ll travel between locations during the retreat. Please be prepared for scheduled transitions, comfortable footwear, and safely transporting your own gear (a streamlined kit is recommended).
If you have accessibility needs, email so we can discuss what may be possible within the venues, safety requirements, and schedule. We’ll always prioritize safety, respect, and keeping the experience running smoothly for everyone.
Yes—education is built into the production flow so you can apply concepts immediately, ask questions in the moment, and get guidance while you shoot and while you edit.
